DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A recent survey by the Greater Downtown Council shows the workforce is returning to downtown Duluth for the summer.
Almost half of the responding employers already have their staffs back on site and another 18 percent expect to have staff returning by the beginning of June.
President of the Downtown Council, Kristi Stokes, says the survey is a good barometer for service providers and says they are looking forward to a busy summer.
The survey showed 65 percent of respondents were optimistic about a return to pre-COVID business and sales levels.
Duluth Mayor Emily Larson says the city is bouncing back safely and what happens downtown is a good indication of what is being seen all across Duluth.
