DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Western Lake Superior Sanitary District’s Yard Waste Compost Site is closing for the season at 4 p-m Monday.
Residents can dispose of leaves, pumpkins, garden leftovers and other yard debris for free until then.
Brush and branches can be disposed of for 10 dollars per cubic yard.
The yard waste site will open again briefly in late December into January for Christmas tree disposal.
The compost will become the WLSSD’s Garden Green fertilizer that is available during the growing season.
