DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Duluth Fire Department’s Assistant Chief Clint Reff has been honored with the Clarence Maddy Award.
Duluth Mayor Emily Larson thanked Reff for his many years of dedicated service.
Fire Chief Sean Krizaj says Reff overcame many obstacles to become a key member of the Fire Department’s Command Staff and during his 25 years of service has been very active in the community.
Reff, who will be retiring at the end of the month, thanked the people he works with everyday and says the award should be shared with all city employees for putting the citizens of Duluth first.
The Clarence Maddy Award is presented annually to an employee who goes above and beyond their job description to provide a valuable service to colleagues and citizens.
The award is named after Clarence Maddy, who was Duluth’s Chief Administrative Officer for 22 years under five mayors.
