DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – District 7-A Representative Jennifer Schultz will not be seeking re-election to a fifth term.
Schultz has represented the eastern half of Duluth in the Minnesota Legislature for the past 8 years and thanked the people of the district for their support.
Representative Schultz says her time in the legislature has been exciting and rewarding and is proud of the work she has accomplished.
Schultz holds a Ph.D. in economics and is a professor at UMD.
Despite not running again, she doesn’t see her public service over and hopes to continue work in health care, economy and higher education.
Although having mixed feelings about leaving the legislature, Schultz says with redistricting it is a good time for her successor to form relationships with the people of, what will be, the new House District 8-B.
