DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – After dumping up to a foot of heavy, wet snow in places along the north shore of Lake Superior on Wednesday, the focus switches to the south shore for Thursday into Friday.
The National Weather Service Office in Duluth has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Douglas, Bayfield, Ashland and Iron Counties for up to ten inches of snow along with a light glaze of ice from freezing rain.
Northerly winds are expected with gusts to 35 miles per hour across the region.
A Winter Weather Advisory remains for northern Minnesota for possible freezing rain and another three inches of snow.
Sun is expected to return by the weekend with high temperatures on Saturday in the upper 40’s and into the 50’s on Sunday.
