DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Recent rains and snow melt has caused many area rivers to overflow their banks.
There are at least eight roads in St. Louis County that remain closed due to high water and public works crews continue to monitor conditions.
Additional flooded roads or unsafe conditions can be reported by calling 9-1-1.
Among the closures, as of Sunday, were the Bodas and Barker Roads near Fayal Township, the Shipley Road and McAurthur Road in New Independence Township, the Tamminen Road near the Cherry School, the Three Lakes Road between the Munger Shaw and Vermilion Trail and the Swan Lake Road in Ness Township.
There are also multiple trails, roads, bridges and campgrounds that are closed along the north shore of Lake Superior because of high water.
