DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The USS Minneapolis-St. Paul will be officially commissioned at a ceremony Saturday in the Port of Duluth.
Built in Marinette, Wisconsin, the ship was launched in June of 2019 and after commissioning will head to its home port at the Mayport, Florida Naval Station.
The Littoral Combat Ship is a fast and agile craft designed to operate in near shore environments against the latest coastal threats.
