DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – To better reflect their growth into a multi-platform entertainment and educational programming provider, WDSE-WRPT has become PBS North.
WDSE-TV first went on the air in September of 1964 providing Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) network and locally produced shows.
PBS North President and General Manager Patty Mester says technology has advanced and their educational and entertainment programming can now be accessed on tablets, phones and computers in addition to television sets.
She says the main channel has been known as PBS North for the past eight years so the updated image is a perfect fit to represent the station as a whole.
Mester says the mission of PBS North is to illuminate, inspire and enrich lives to strengthen community with one-of-a-kind story telling.
