DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Duluth Salvation Army will be passing out 365 free donuts on Friday as part of their National Donut Day fundraiser.
The donuts will be given away at their offices on 27th Avenue West from 9 a-m to 11 a-m while collecting donations for their food shelf.
The donuts are being donated by Super One and funds will be used to stock the food shelf that saw its federal funding cut in half this year.
Two staff members will be dressed as Salvation Army “Donut Lassies” recognizing the women that distributed donuts to soldiers on the front lines in France during World War One.
Donations can also be made online at DuluthSA.org
