DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Following up on information from Duluth Police, the Lake Superior Violent Offender Task Force executed a search warrant in the 700 block of North 20th Avenue East on Wednesday.
Discovered in the search were 1,355 M30 fentanyl pills, two handguns, a handgun drum magazine, a large quantity of ammunition and over 18 thousand dollars in drug proceeds.
St. Louis County Initial Intervention was called to help place a child in a safe location after the child was found sleeping within a couple feet of a loaded handgun and numerous fentanyl pills.
The investigation also led Task Force members to a storage facility where an additional 3,161 fentanyl pills were confiscated.
According to a Duluth Police Facebook post, the people involved were arrested and taken to the St. Louis County jail on 1st degree sale of a controlled substance and firearms charges.
No other information was released as the investigation is ongoing.
