DULUTH, MN (MNN) – An Iron Range man is sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison for setting up a drug deal that resulted in the overdose death of 33-year-old Brooke Ann Miller.
St. Louis County prosecutors say 38-year-old David Chatman of Virginia was sentenced to 43 months Tuesday after pleading guilty to aiding and abetting third-degree murder.
Miller was found unresponsive by her boyfriend in October 2021 and died in their apartment.
Chatman admitted to contacting his dealer, Torisa Wallace, and that Miller paid 40 dollars for what she believed was heroin, but she died of a fentanyl overdose.
