SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – Construction crews hit a natural gas line near North 28th Street and Banks Avenue in Superior just after noon on Tuesday.
Fire Department personnel monitored the atmosphere in the neighborhood following the leak, but no evacuations were necessary.
The damage was repaired and gas service is being restored to the nearly 40 customers in the area.
According to the Superior Fire Department, the intersection of North 28th and Oakes Avenue remained closed overnight on Tuesday and will re-open Wednesday after the roadway is repaired.
