SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – The annual Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival is being held Friday evening and all day Saturday at Barker’s Island in Superior.
The opening ceremonies on Friday will be followed by entertainment from Big Wave Dave and the Ripples and then the Mackie Brothers.
Saturday begins with a pancake breakfast followed by Dragon Boat racing, a 5-K fun run, tug of war and live entertainment.
The event is sponsored by the Superior Rotary Club and this year’s charitable partner is 23rd Veterans serving area veterans and their families.
There is no admission fee for spectators and parking is also free.
