MILWAUKEE – Greetings from Fiserv Forum, a simply stunning facility that has been converted from its normal basketball mode into a hockey arena for a couple days.
The Kwik Trip Holiday Faceoff takes over here this week, a third run for the event instituted in place of the old Badger Showdown, which was an annual tradition in Milwaukee from 1989 through 2002 at the old Bradley Center. The event shifted to Madison and the Kohl Center in 2003 and ran there until 2010.
UMD matches up with Northeastern in the first game of the day, with Air Force and host Wisconsin capping the festivities at 7:30pm.
