EMBARRASS TOWNSHIP, MN (KDAL) – A 72 year old woman from Babbitt was critically injured in a one vehicle crash Monday night in Embarrass Township.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says the accident was reported around 7 p-m in the 5600 block of Highway 21.
A preliminary investigation at the scene indicated the vehicle was traveling east at an estimated speed of 90 miles per hour when the victim lost control and crashed into a ditch.
She was taken to a local hospital and then airlifted to another hospital due to her critical condition.
Authorities say speed and alcohol were the primary factors in the crash.
