DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Duluth Fire Department responded to the Altec facility at 1255 Port Terminal Drive on Wednesday morning.
The fire was in the building’s air filtration system and was kept at bay by Altec employees with fire extinguishers until Fire Department crews arrived.
The staff had safely evacuated and no injuries were reported.
The fire was contained to the air filtration system and production resumed at the facility in the afternoon.
Damage was estimated at 50 to 75 thousand dollars and the cause is being investigated by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s Office.
