IRON JUNCTION, MN (KDAL) – A 10 year old student has been suspended for the rest of the school year for bringing a toy plastic gun to the Cherry School.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department and numerous other law enforcement agencies responded to the school Thursday afternoon on reports of a student with a gun in their backpack.
Prior to law enforcement arriving at the school, the student handed over the small plastic toy gun to the school social worker and their guardian, who was also at the school.
An investigation determined that no threats were made to staff or other students.
