UNDATED (KDAL) – Communities and neighborhoods across the Northland will be holding National Night Out events on Tuesday.
In Duluth there are dozens of block parties hosted by neighbors, church groups and civic organizations. Those that are registered will be visited by representatives of the Police and Fire Departments.
Several of the larger events open to all include gatherings at Duluth Heights (151 West Linden St.), St. John’s Lutheran Church (3601 Arrowhead Road) and West Duluth at the Boys and Girls Club (2427 West 4th St.).
Besides neighborhood events around the city, Superior Police will host a Night Out in their parking lot (1316 North 14th St.) and Hibbing has a scheduled gathering at Bennett Park.
The National Night Out is meant to build relationships with law enforcement and promote neighborhood safety.
Times vary, but most are being held from around 4 to 7 p-m.
