DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The City of Duluth has issued a boil water notice to some residents in the upper Woodland and Kenwood neighborhoods.
The advisory is due to a power outage Friday morning which allowed water pressure in that area to drop to low levels.
The city is performing necessary tests to confirm the safety of the water for drinking in that area with results expected on Sunday afternoon.
Until then, drinking water in the area defined in the map (blue) should be boiled before consuming.
The boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth and food preparation until further notice. Tap water in that area can still be used for non-consumption uses such as showering and laundry.
Drinking and cooking water should be brought to a full rolling boil for a minute or longer and then cooled before using.
