DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the Duluth Safe Haven Shelter and Resource Center held a kick-off event on Wednesday to bring attention to the issue.
The event highlighted some of the Safe Haven’s programming including legal advocacy, shelter, safety planning, a 24-7 crisis hotline and outreach.
Safe Haven serves over 600 clients at their crisis shelter and more than 1,500 clients every year at their drop-in resource center at 414 West 1st Street in Duluth.
The annual “Voices of Courage” fundraiser will be held on October 8th at Clyde Iron Works.
