DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) and community partners are celebrating Transit Equity Days on Friday and Saturday.
The DTA is offering free fares on fixed route and STRIDE buses on both days.
The event commemorates the heroes of the public transportation equity movement and stresses the importance of all citizens having access to transit system that connects people to other people and the necessities of life.
A special event Friday morning will feature speakers from Duluth and Superior in the lobby of the Downtown Transit Center.
Buses on Friday and Saturday will have posters, electronic signage and fare box covers to honor Transit Equity Days.
