DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A four month project to renovate and modernize the St. Louis County 911 Emergency Communications Center has been completed.
The remodel included rewiring the facility, 14 new answering consoles, new flooring and an improved layout.
During the work, emergency communications specialists worked out of two different temporary locations.
The Emergency Communications Center answers 911 calls and connects them to any of the 180 public safety agencies in the county for response.
Last year the staff at the center answered 205 thousand calls for assistance.
