DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A small plane that had an apparent engine malfunction landed on Highway 61 just north of Duluth on Saturday afternoon.
The pilot was not injured and responding police were able to move the plane into a grassy area off the highway near the Eastridge Road.
The pilot told Northern News Now that he took off from Duluth and was breaking in a new engine on a flight along the north shore when it stopped running.
Traffic on the ground was not impacted by the incident.
