SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – The 2026 Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival is being held at Barker’s Island in Superior starting Friday evening and continuing all day on Saturday.
The event begins with an opening ceremony and parade of teams at 6:30 p-m Friday followed by a kid’s fun run, a 5K, a glow Dragon Boat race and live music starting at 8.
A pancake breakfast opens the day at 7 a-m Saturday and racing begins at 8. There will be activities throughout the day Saturday including a tug of war tourney at 11:30. A beer garden and ten food trucks will be available and live music continues until the closing ceremonies at 4:15.
The Dragon Boat Festival is sponsored by area Rotary Clubs and is a fundraiser for this year’s charitable partner, the 2nd Harvest Northland food bank.
