While I’m sure the audience would like for us to wax poetic about the ongoing “Please just drop the puck” discussion permeating social media, or even to analyze what UMD needs to do differently after a 3-2 loss to Miami here on Friday, we unfortunately have to talk about health again.
In the midst of dropping a second straight game on Friday, UMD also lost two of the 12 forwards it had in the lineup. Barrett Hall left the game in the first period, Callum Arnott in the third. At the time, we did not know what happened to Arnott, but I believe he was injured on a hit into the boards with around eight minutes elapsed in the third period.

My technologically-troubled self has provided you with this screenshot.
It appears to be an upper-body injury for Arnott, who did not return and is not in the lineup for the rematch.
Hall is in the lineup, but we suspect he is a gametime decision. It appeared Hall was hurt blocking one of the shots he blocked, but it’s also possible that the injury actually keeping him out of this lineup was on the hit. I am not, as they say, a doctor.
(I’ve already spotted Hall trying to stickhandle, clearly testing his injury. We’ll know after warmup if he’s going.)
Anyway, the injuries leave UMD with no healthy scratches (unless Hall plays), and the 12 forwards and eight defensemen you see listed below are the only healthy players left for the Bulldogs. #ListenToTheRadio or check me on the socials for the final lineup decision.
Miami’s only change is also injury related, as Branko Vukas (who hit Arnott) left the game after the hit. He limped to the Miami room with the RedHawks’ athletic trainer and is out. John Emmons draws in as Miami’s 13th forward.
Injuries suck.
