Fish to Fight ALS with KQ and Kolar!
Classic Rock KQ is proud to be the radio partner of the 31st Annual Kolar Toyota ALS Fishing Tournament, happening May 29th and 30th on Island Lake. Join Jason Manning from the KQ Morning Show, along with his son Colby, as they cast for a cure in the fight against ALS. The weekend kicks off with a party Friday night, May 29th at UMD, followed by a full day of fishing Saturday morning on Island Lake.
Brought to you by Never Surrender and Classic Rock KQ, this event gives you two ways to get involved, compete on Island Lake or fish virtually from anywhere in the world. Two separate tournaments, one powerful cause.
About the Event
The Kolar Toyota ALS Fishing Tournament is a fishing tournament and fundraiser. The Kolar Toyota ALS Fishing Tournament started in 1996 by family and friends of Kevin Kolquist. Kevin had been diagnosed with ALS and they wanted to do something to make a difference. Anglers are united as they Cast for a Cure.
This fundraising tournament raises money to support individuals with ALS. Every contribution, one dollar at a time, adds up to help support people and their families living with ALS.
With your help, funds from the Kolar Toyota ALS Fishing Tournament go to ALS organizations that provide services empowering people with ALS to be more independent and help their full time family caregivers in addition to funding global research for a cause and cure.
