SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – An officer involved shooting in Superior Sunday evening has sent two people to the hospital.
According to an investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Superior Police responded to a residence in the 500 block of East 7th Street around 6:30 p-m on reports of a subject armed with a knife inside with another adult.
When the officer encountered the subject with the knife, the officer discharged their weapon striking the subject and the other adult.
There were no other individuals injured during the incident.
The involved officer was wearing a body camera which will be reviewed during the ongoing investigation. That officer has been placed on administrative leave as per the agency’s policy
