DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – As the first phase of a two year project to reconstruct a portion of 40th Avenue West nears completion, the street will re-open to traffic on Friday afternoon (10-23).
The work completed so far includes the area between 8th Street and the railroad tracks and some work outside the roadway at Members Cooperative Credit Union.
The project will resume in the spring and work then will include reconstructing the remaining roadway on 40th West and constructing a new mini roundabout at the intersection with Grand Avenue.
While St. Louis County is reconstructing the road, the City of Duluth is replacing utilities along the same section
